Treatment
When you arrive for your Calecim hair loss treatment, you should have clean hair with no product applied.
Firstly, the scalp will be cleansed with Chlorhexidine 0.5% or Clinisept prep & procedure solution.
Microneedling will be performed on the scalp with a 0.5mm – 1.5mm range depending on the areas being treated. 0.5 – 0.6mm is typically used for the hairline and temples whilst 1.0 – 1.5mm can be applied to the vertex and crown.
2.5ml of Calecim Professional Advanced Hair System is applied to the scalp and massaged in.
The treatment takes around 20 minutes to perform.
It is recommended that patients undertake a course of treatments that are performed once a week for 6 weeks. In more severe hair loss cases, a course of 12 treatments may be recommended.
A maintenance treatment is also recommended once every 3-6 months.
